TOGETHER, WE
INSPIRE
For more than 100 years, Rotary has connected leaders committed to applying their expertise to better their communities and the world.
HISTORY
Rotary began in 1905 when a Chicago attorney named Paul Harris gathered a few friends to exchange ideas, form meaningful friendships, and explore how they could give back to their community. What started as a small circle of professionals quickly grew into a global movement—now more than 1.2 million members strong—dedicated to creating positive, lasting change in communities around the world. From eradicating polio to building peace and expanding access to clean water, Rotary’s reach is global, but its heart is always local.
Here in Horizon West, our chapter was chartered in 2019 with that same spirit of connection and service. We’re a growing network of neighbors, professionals, and community leaders who believe that when people come together with purpose, great things happen. Whether it’s mentoring students at Maxey Elementary, sorting food for families in need, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, or simply showing up to listen and lend a hand, our members are united by a shared commitment to do good—locally and globally.
The Horizon West Rotary Club is more than a service organization. It’s a place where ideas are welcomed, friendships are built, and passion becomes action. If you’re looking for a way to make a difference while connecting with others who care, you just might find your people here.

2018

CLUB LEADERSHIP
Rotary leaders lead with heart, vision, and a commitment to service.
They use their skills to strengthen the fabric of our club, foster deeper connections in the community,
and bring meaningful change to those who need it most.
By expanding the reach of Rotary’s humanitarian work and shining a light on our shared values,
they help others see the good we do—and invite them to be part of it.
Membership
Welcomes new members and keeps current members engaged. They focus on growing a strong, inclusive club where everyone feels connected and valued.
Hospitality
This team is the welcoming face of our club. They staff the check-in table at meetings and events, greet guests with a smile, and connect visitors with members who can help them feel at home. Their goal is to make every Rotary experience feel inviting, thoughtful, and connected.
Civic
The Civic Committee leads the charge on local service projects that uplift our Horizon West and Winter Garden communities. From partnering with schools to supporting seniors—and everything in between—this team turns compassion into action, making sure our club shows up where help is needed most.
Fundraising
Creates and coordinates events and campaigns that raise money to support our club’s projects. Their work ensures we have the resources to make a lasting impact.
Social
Plans fun gatherings and fellowship opportunities outside of service projects. They help us build stronger relationships through laughter, celebration, and community.
